PRODUCTS LIABILITY

We live surrounded by stuff designed by who-knows-who and made who-knows-where. Sometimes the desire to cut costs leads to shortcuts and products that are poorly designed or poorly built and which are dangerous. Unfortunately this can lead to serious injuries. Like the ladder our client used to change a light bulb. Micro cracks at rivet holes caused it to buckle and him to fall, seriously injuring himself. The defendants refused to settle the case, forcing us to trial. The jury ruled for our client, but the defendant appealed. Only after the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed the verdict did the defendants pay the full amount of the judgment. (The decision can be seen here.) Not every injury is caused by negligence and we don’t win every case, but if we take the case, we fight for our client.
